I received my first drum set around 1970. It was a small 5 piece mixed acoustic set that I
played and added to for almost 20 years. I had always preferred acoustic drum sets because the
electronic sets did not have the sound and especially the feel of a "real" drum set. But, with the advancment of technology, it was only a matter of time before someone actually came up with a "real" alternative to the acoustic kit. Often tried before but never quite reached, the Roland V-Session drum system hits the nail on the head. I won't go on about the actual kit, but I highly recomend them.
